 There has always been a misconception about the plastic surgeons and Cosmetic Surgeons that what exactly plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons do and how to find the best plastic surgeon or best cosmetic surgeon. A lot of people believe that plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons are skin specialists. Others think that the plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons are the ones that do only aesthetic surgery like tummy tucks, liposuction, nose jobs and facelifts, fillers and Botox only. The reality of plastic surgeons is far beyond these definitions of Plastic surgeons and cosme surgeons. Plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons do much more than nip and tuck that people believe they do. The modern era plastic surgeons are Microvascular surgeons, reconstructive and cosmetic breast surgeons, orthoplastic surgeons, hand surgeons, genital aesthetic and reconstructive surgeons, Cancer reconstructive surgeons, facial rejuvenation surgeons and the list goes on. Only when one is aware that what exactly does a plastic surgeon and cosmetic surgeon do, one can determine who is the best plastic surgeon or cosmetic surgeon for his/her needs.

 

Superspecialization in Plastic Surgery

Like all spheres of life there has been an increasing trend of superspecialization amongst the plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons. It is a matter of common sense that one cannot perform every surgery and even if he can he cannot be best at all of them. Most of people and surgeons have understood this fact and they are focusing on one or other of superspecialities. This in a way has made it easier for potential clients and patients to identify and contact the best plastic surgeon and Cosmetic surgeon for their specific needs.
