What is Gynecomastia?
Gynecomastia is an abnormal enlargement of the male breasts. The causes are often varied, ranging from medication side effects, men undergoing estrogen treatment, or a hormonal disorder occurring during puberty. It is the most common breast condition in men, affecting between 35 and 50% of men.
It can affect one or both breasts and can cause low self-esteem in men, leading to psychological distress. Sometimes, this condition returns to its natural state, so it doesn't require surgical intervention.
